You handled the goblins well, soldier, but they were never the real danger on these roads. Bandits are organized, armed, and have been raiding our supply lines for weeks. Before I commit a single guardsman, I need eyes on them. My scout, Elena, has been watching their movements from the eastern treeline for days. Take that Pack Donkey, ride out to her, and hear what she's learned. Private Anderson has also sent orders to take out twelve bandit scouts along the way. I'll put his assignment in your quest log with these orders; report back to him when it's done.
