A priest lies dead in bandit territory, his holy pendant the only thing left to identify him. Brother John should be told.

A man of the cloth, cut down and left to rot in the dirt. Only the bandits would stoop so low. This pendant is all he has left. Brother John at the forward camp keeps the faith — he should know one of his own has fallen.

Brother John at the forward camp should hear of the priest's death.

A priest... they killed a priest. Show me — yes, I know this pendant. He tended the chapel on the old road before the bandits came. There is no coin in his robes, no quarrel he ever picked. They killed him for the cross around his neck and the joy of it. Heartless. There's no other word for what these men have become. He will be mourned properly. Thank you for not leaving him nameless in the mud.
